Catfish and white bass are catchable year round, as are bass and crappie. These fish all move around depending on water temperatures and conditions. Generally the bait moves shallow in spring and fall, then moves deeper in winter and summer. The fish which feed on them, follow them. Catfish tend to hang in, or close to, creek and river channels. Multiple boat ramps provide easy access for pleasure and fishing boats. There are numerous places around the lake where a canoe or kayak can be portaged. These areas are also accessible for fishing from the bank.
