Fishing At Merrymeeting Lake
AKA: Merrymeeting Lake Boat Access Area
What to fish for...
Fishing for smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, lake trout, bluegill, Atlantic salmon and chain pickerel at Merrymeeting Lake in New Hampshire.
Clear, cold water makes Merrymeeting Lake an excellent fishery for smallmouth bass, landlocked salmon, trout and chain pickerel. This is an 1,100-acre lake, with over 10 miles of shoreline, in the east-central part of the state, 2 miles north of New Durham. The Merrymeeting Lake Boat Access Area and the Merrymeeting public ramp are open to the public for launching everything from a kayak to a pontoon boat. Much of the lakeshore is populated with homes and boat docks, but adventurous anglers can find areas to fish from the bank.
